Rear drive shaft containment loop: Scribner Welding has the best
Scribner Welding is a high quality, small fabrication and machine shop. It began only because of customer demand, and the love for cars.
I began building my own car parts in the 1960’s while working in various positions. Draftsman, machinist, and equipment field mechanic. All of which have contributed to the expertise of the craftmanship we create.
Most of my education was in diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical, however, my first love has always been street rods and drag cars. I was always building an engine or suspension parts for someone in the evenings. It was quite a “hobby”.
In the 1970’s, I built tooling to narrow 12 bolts, and 9 inch Ford rearends. In the mid 1980’s, I took a rearend that I had narrowed for my own use, to a swap meet. I was only looking to sell it. To my surprise, there were people all day long, asking questions. Most of them had never seen a TIG welded rearend. There was such extreme interest, and demand, that in January 1990, Scribner Welding was officially a business, specializing in Narrowed Rearends.
Acquiring the distributorship for Aurora Rod Ends in January 1997, we became Scribner Welding and Distributing.
I have more than thirty years experience in TIG welding, and have completed 1300+ narrowed rearends. The specialty continues to be with rearends. Our sheet metal housings have been referred to as ”works of art”. Due to customer demand, we have also ventured into custom aluminum fabrication, suspension components, and driveshafts. We also deal heavily with axles and all parts pertaining to building rearends, and suspension components.
Scribner Welding is proud to be “the place to go” for fabricated parts and components for your special project. We thrive for customer satisfaction.

What Goes On at a Dealership?
Approaching an auto dealership can be as intimidating and confusing as arriving to pick up a date for the very first time. Why is shopping for a car or truck so intimidating? The main reason is people do not know what to expect when they step foot into a dealership. Through this series, we will explore all of the areas of a dealership and what to expect the next time you are in the market for a new or used car or truck. Who are these people at the dealership and what is their role? Who am I supposed to speak with? Will I be able to secure financing? We see dealerships everywhere, and most people eventually visit at least one. To give you better insight into how a dealership works, we have broken down the different areas that make up a dealership as we know it today.
A dealership is a model of division of labor: Each department within the dealership has its own distinct roles and responsibilities, as do each of the employees within those departments. Most dealerships, even the largest ones, are structured similarly, with either five or six different departments all working together.
The typical auto dealership departments include new car sales, used car sales, service, parts, accounting, titling and some of the larger ones include a body shop. According to the National Automobile Dealers Association, there are over 23,200 car dealerships in the U.S., employing over 1 million people. When we consider dealership employees, usually only salespeople and technicians come to mind. But there are a wide variety of jobs at a typical dealership including positions such as accountants, cashiers, detail shop, runners, drivers, sales professionals, finance managers, technicians and receptionists.
The highest profile activity at any franchisee dealership is sales (with service being a close second). New car sales are the gem for the whole operation, but the service department is usually where the dealers make a profit or lose money? But while sales might attract all the attention, the dealership needs all of the other departments to function profitably. Each of the departments functions alone but need the other departments to align themselves with in order for them to operate to their fullest potential.

Why Smart Drivers Donât Pay Traffic Tickets
I am not a lawyer. I’m just a regular person who has gotten a ticket or two over the years. And I have learned, from my experience about what works and what doesn’t work in once you speed or have an accident get traffic tickets.
Did you know when there are three or more cars driving faster than the posted speed limit, a police officer will find it nearly impossible to stop all of the calls in the line. In case the police do pull someone over, your chances are still strongly favorable that someone else in the line of speeding cars will end up with the ticket.
So what’s tip number 1? Obey the law, but if you find yourself driving fast enough to get charged speeding, be sure you’re in the middle of a pack of cars.
One other way to avoid speeding tickets is drive less than ten miles per hour over the speed limit. Often police officers are looking for aggressive drivers and those who are driving too fast for conditions. Going 90 in a 70 mile per hour zone is almost guaranteed to get you pulled over only to drive away with a traffic ticket. So now what do you do?
For many areas in the country, depending on how far over the speed limit you were traveling, the ticket is a civil matter. However, at a certain level of excessive speed or if drinking or drugs are involved the act becomes a criminal offense and you will be looking at $1000 and above as the ticket cost plus the real potential of service time in jail.
But, if this if you get a speeding ticket for a civil offense, even though I’m not a lawyer, my experience says don’t pay traffic tickets.
Why would anyone post words like Don’t Pay Traffic Tickets which, by the way, you now see all over the Internet? The answer is because many attorneys are able to save you money by handling your traffic tickets. And you get a few special benefits and only pay the lawyer as little as $49.00 unless there are court costs.
Here’s what I found out.
- You will not have to take the day off to appear in court. The attorney will handle the traffic court appearance.
- You will not have to attend traffic school. The attorney will customarily be allowed to handle that too.
- You will not get points on your license. The attorney will handle that as smoothly as the other issues.
- Your insurance rates will most likely not be affected because you won’t get points.
- All of the attorneys who are able to handle these issues provide a money back guarantee on all of these benefits as long as the matter is a civil case.
So the next time you get a traffic ticket, don’t pay that ticket. Get yourself a traffic ticket lawyer!
